Where Queer Stories Take Center Stage

Orthogonal Productions Presents:
William Shakespeare's
A Midsummer Night's Dream

A group of lovers flee Athens to escape laws and opinions that prohibit their love and a group of would be performers sneak into the woods where they can rehearse their play undisturbed by the every day distractions of the city. What they don't know is they have wandered into the realm of the Fairies whose King and Queen are feuding. What happens to these mortals when they are caught unaware in a battle of wills between ancient beings and the whims of a mischievous hobgoblin who serves them?

Come join us and watch as this raucous, risqué, timeless comedy unfolds.

This show contains sexual imagery, partial nudity, and adult themes and is not recommended for audiences under 13 years of age

In tandem with Saturday's performances, Orthogonal is hosting a Solstice Bazaar from Noon to 10pm. Admission into the Bazaar is included in Saturday's ticket cost, if you're only interested in attending the Bazaar, a 5 dollar donation to Orthogonal productions is requested at the door.

FROM THE CAST, CREW, AND ARTISTIC TEAM, THANK YOU!

“Cabaret” ran at the Southern Theater from February 6-14, 2026. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the audience members who supported the show during the run. The artistic team is dreaming up ideas for future shows and we hope to make an exciting announcement soon.

Orthogonal Productions creates theater that is unapologetically queer, fiercely ensemble-driven, and grounded in historical and emotional truth.

Led by Artistic Director Brandon Caviness, the company builds worlds where every performer matters, every story is lived-in, and queer narratives are reclaimed from erasure.

Known for intimate, nuanced productions shaped by deep collaboration and rigorous research, Orthogonal brings forgotten histories, ignored perspectives, and expansive human stories back into the spotlight.
